i got a similar call as the one above
I have received 2 calls from this number for my brother who lives in Arizona. They have warrants/summons for court action against on Fedral charges for Check Fraud and Intent to Defraud a Financial Institution. From the comments it looks like this is nothing more than some debt collector pulling a fraud of their own. I would not respond to this type of call.
My mom got a phone call from this number saying that I wrote a bad check. not sure how they got her number for me living there, specially cuz she just moved in there. but I don't even write checks. I called them it says the ban or bam group.. an to leave a message. she said they also called on a sunday. most places call on a weekday. think its a scam..
They called my parents and my brother-in-law referencing a bad check that I had written...I called the company back and they claim that they were sending my file out for litigation in the morning...I have settled this account from 2006 and they need to get over it!
Same story as the rest. I asked the rep if the were a debt collector, he said no. I asked if they were arbitrators, he said they were not only that they were the middle man trying to help. I am concluding that they are debt collection.
